How to Change a Flat Tire
At Porsche Omaha, we know that being a leading luxury dealership means more than just offering top-of-the-line new and used Porsche models. It also means providing top-tier service and expertise for all of your maintenance needs, including tire repair. Check out for tips on how to properly change a flat tire, so you don’t have to wait around for roadside assistance.
Even though our performance-grade Porsche tires are built tough, even new models like the 2019 Porsche Cayenne aren’t invincible from dastardly road bumps. If your tire bursts on the road, the first thing you should do is pull over to the side of the road. Make sure you have a car jack, wrench, air pressure gauge, and air compressor handy.
Once stopped, use the car jack to lift your car, so the flat tire is completely off the pavement. Then, use the wrench to loosen the lug nuts that hold your wheel to the axle. Once the lug nuts are loosened, remove your wheel and check the air pressure on your spare tire. If its air pressure levels are low, use the air compressor to fill it back up to a suitable level to get you to a service center. With your spare ready to go, use the same lug nuts to secure the new tire onto the axle.
